The Biggest House in the World – Leo Lionni

A little snail wishes to have a big house, in fact, the biggest house in the world.  His father hears of his wish and tells him the story of a snail whose house was very grand but because of his grand house, he was unable to move to find things to eat when he ran out of food where he was.  The little snail hears his father’s story and realizes freedom of movement is more important than a grand house and he is contented.
